The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its inaugural Evening in White at 7 p.m. Saturday, August 24, at Rivercane Park, Highway 21, Atmore.
This event, known and started in Paris as Diner en Blanc, is a picnic style event where attendees wear all-white attire, enjoy food, and spend time with friends. For this inaugural event, attendees will enjoy all these traditional aspects of other events in addition to being entertained by The Tip Tops, a high-energy dance and show band based out of Mobile.
Some lucky winners will walk away with the titles of Best Dressed Male, Best Dressed Female, Best Dressed Couple, Most Creative Attire, Most Awe-inspiring Tablescape, and Best Spread (food).
However, this isn’t just another party, Evening in White has a purpose. Proceeds will benefit the future Atmore Dog Park (location to be determined).
This will be a ticketed pre-sale only private event. Tickets are $50 and will be available beginning July 8.
