Cecil Ronald “Ronnie” Rhinehart

Mr. Cecil Ronald “Ronnie” Rhinehart, age 72, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at his home in Canoe, Ala.  He was a native and former resident of Mobile, Ala. and had resided in Canoe, since 1981. He taught the family to love God, family, country, and to respect other people. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, woodworker and our ultimate repairman for materialistic or life lessons. In respect to our life lesson of loving this country he instilled pride and love for this freedom that he fought for in the Vietnam War. He served abroad land and sea for twenty years. He was loyal Alabama football fan, we would say “Rest in Peace Daddy” but he would say “ROLL TIDE”. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Rhinehart and one sister, Janet Rhinehart Carlton.

Mr. Rhinehart is survived by his mother, Adelene “Red” Wooten Rhinehart of Canoe; wife of fifty-three years, Joyce Rhinehart of Canoe; one son, Sean (Melissa) Rhinehart of Canoe; two daughters, Theresa (Leo) Collins of Destin, Fla. and Tina (David) Morris of Perdido, Ala.; one brother, Stephen Scott Rhinehart of Saraland, Ala.; one brother-in-law, Clarence Carlton of Canoe and seven grandchildren, Cortney Morris, Destany Morris, Lauren Collins Bonertz, Logan Collins, Devon Rhinehart, Wyatt Rhinehart and Reba Rhinehart.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 24, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Long officiating. Burial will follow aOak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Scott Rhinehart, Sammy Singleton, Tony Wooten, Brandon Carlton, Bobby Wooten and Logan Collins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Carlton, Wayne Tucker, Larry Wooten, Devon Rhinehart and Wyatt Rhinehart.

Danny Hugh Rowland

Mr. Danny Hugh Rowland, age 70, of Stockton, Ala., passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019
at his residence. He was co-owner of Snap On Tool Company. He was born in Swainsboro, Ga. to the late Hubert R. and Margaret Hayes Rowland.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Rowland is survived by his wife, Sara McGhee Dalrymple of Stockton; his step-
mother, Dorothy Rowland; three sons, Stoney Rowland of Milton, Fla., Donovan (Shannan) Brooks of Mobile, Ala., Shawn (Adrienne) Brooks of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Diane (Joey) Winston of Milton; one brother, Glen (Billie) Davis of Swainsboro; three sisters, Dottie (Allen) Durden, Pat (Clay) Brinson and Debra (David) Hall, all of Swainsboro; eight grandchildren, J.P., Junior, Trevin, Brayden, Ash, Katie, Megan, Kyla; a number of great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 10 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral
Home Chapel with Bro. Barry Lee and Bro. Leon McGhee officiating. Interment will follow in New Home Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Tim McGhee, Junior McGhee, Thomas Dalrymple, Kolby Dalrymple, J.P. Driggers, Vickie Johnson, Brayden Brooks and Trevin Brooks.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Dalrymple and Kelton Dalrymple.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 24, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Carolyn Ann Peacock Rider 

Ms. Carolyn Ann Peacock Rider, age 72, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in Atmore. She was a retired Phlebotomists from Atmore Community Hospital. She was born in Sylacauga, Ala. to the late Cecil James and Virgie Mae Ellison Peacock.

She was preceded in her death by her parents.

Ms. Rider is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Ann Mason of Wawbeek, Ala. and Lisa Denise Brown of Flomaton, Ala.; one grandchild, Billie Lee Ellis; one brother, Curtis James (Betty) Peacock of Grand Bay, Ala.; two sisters, Linda Gail (Cecil) Daniel of Atmore and Glenda Sue McClendon of Canoe.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in Serenity Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Ricky Tedder officiating. Interment will follow in Serenity Gardens Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jakob Burkett, Henry Tedder, Brandon Tedder, Darian Eiland, Travis Sunday, and Timothy Powers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Paul McEnnis Austin

Mr. Paul McEnnis Austin, age 71, of Baltimore, Md., formerly of Perdido, Ala. passed away recently.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Morning Dove Baptist Church – Perdido with Rev. Stanley Cox, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Morning Dove Cemetery.

Flossie Mae Moorer

Mrs. Flossie Mae Moorer, age 82, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at West Florida Hospital, Pensacola, Fla. She was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Pugh in Monroe County, Ala. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Baptist Church swerving as a Senior Choir member as well as a mission and was the mother of the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon William C. Moorer; parents, Carnelious Kennedy and Ollie Pugh; son, Andrew Moorer; sister, Irma Ervin; granddaughter, Lakeshia Spellman; son-i-law, Darwin Robinson; six brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law.

Mrs. Moorer is survived by her daughter, Barbara Robinson; five sons, Deacon William (Jeannette) Moorer; Rev. Sammie (Minister Shirley) Moorer; Deacon Roger Moorer, all of Walnut Hill, Larry Moorer of Pensacola and Andrea Moorer of Beaumont, Texas; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Moorer of New Bern, N.C.; brother, Pellus Pugh; sister-in-law and Aunt Lula Moorer and A8unt Nancy Fountain; nineteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Barbara Jean Moorer, Christine Moorer, Lizzie Moorer and Oretha Ealy; special nieces, Alice Smith and Diane Thames and a host of nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 1 p.m. at New St. Paul Baptist Church, Walnut Hill with Rev. Sammie Moorer, Pastor officiating. Interment followed at New Saint Paul Cemetery.

Pallbearers were grandsons and nephews.

Flower bearers were nieces.

Willie J. Dailey

Mr. Willie J. Dailey of Evergreen, Ala., passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced at a later time by Christian Memorial Funeral Home.

 

Chrishawn Westry

Mr. Chrishawn Westry, age 19, of Coy, Ala. and resident of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, May 17, 2019.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Tate Community Church, Coy, Ala.

Public viewing will be held Friday, May 31, 2019 from 2 until 6 p.m. at Christian Memorial Chapel.
