Southern Pine sponsor youth tour
Special to Atmore News Twelve students from Southern Pine Electric Co-op’s service territory recently participated in Montgomery Youth Tour. Students traveled to Montgomery March 12-14, where they visited historical monuments like the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, toured the capitol and spent time with state legislators. Escambia County Middle School teachers Marsha Wilson and Rhecy Currie had the top classroom in the Imagine Math: Alabama Math Cup contest. Tony Mcaroy, a junior at Miles College, sits at midcourt with the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship trophy after the Golden Bears won the SIAC tournament.
