ECHS culinary arts serves Lions

The Atmore Lions Club held its meeting on March 6 in the culinary arts dining room at Escambia County High School.
Lion Bub Gideons gave the blessing which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Principal Dennis Fuqua welcomed the Lions, and teacher Walton Nichols gave a brief explanation of the culinary curriculum. Members were served by the students who were wearing Blue Devil blue jackets. The meal consisted of a spinach salad, chicken alfredo, and king cake.
Following lunch, First District Vice Governor Yvonne Burrows from Eight Mile spoke about Lionism.
The district convention which was held in Atmore was discussed and it was announced that Atmore had been asked to host the meeting again next year.
