SPRAG collecting items for tornado relief
News Staff Report Single Parents Raising a Gift (SPRAG), a Monroeville-based non-profit, is currently conducting “Helping Hands for Lee County,” a project through which the organization is collecting toiletry items for victims of the March 3 tornadoes that ripped across eastern Alabama. Needed items include toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, soap, washcloths, lotion and deodorant. Remembering Denver
The 2019 Escambia County Steer and Heifer Show was held Thursday, March 7. During the show and judging, everyone took a few moments to honor two young people – the late Denver Shuttlesworth and Kylee Langham, who was showing a calf in this year’s competition. Trinity Episcopal holds pancake supper
The Men of Trinity held their Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper March 5. As always, the food was good and the supper well attended. This year, a quilt show was held in conjunction with the supper. Every pew in the sanctuary was covered with quilts of all descriptions.
