The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce 73rd Annual Meeting and Chamber Gala is set for Friday, February 8th.
This year the Chamber is thrilled to share some exciting changes to the annual meeting of years past. 2018 brought tremendous growth not only to the Atmore business community but to the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce as well. In consideration of that growth and in combination with event feedback from members and corporate partners alike, we are proud to announce this year’s event will be held at Wind Creek Casino & Hotel.
The gala will begin with the social hour and silent auction at 6 p.m. The dinner, meeting, and presentation of awards will follow at 7 p.m. Upon the conclusion of the meeting all attendees are invited to celebrate, enjoy the music, and dance the night away for the remainder of the evening.
As in years past, the Chamber is again sponsoring a split-the-pot drawing. This year, however, the Chamber is making things a bit more interesting with unlimited tickets being sold at only $20. The sky is the limit on how big this pot could be! So, get your tickets today. The drawing will be held the night of the gala.
The Chamber would like to thank Mrs. Ann Gordon of Atmore Realty, owner of the Club, for her years of support of the Chamber and its Annual Meeting. Additionally, we would like to thank the owners and dedicated team of South Alabama Vending and Pepsi Bottling Co. of Atmore for their hard work and commitment to ensuring we always had amazing food and service. Your support of the Chamber has been and continues to be unwavering and we are so grateful.
Over the 73-year history of the Annual Meeting and Chamber Banquet there are countless vendors who have participated, selflessly dedicating their time and talents to ensure every year has been better than the last. We are so incredibly grateful to each and every one of you for all your efforts. We hope this year you are able to come and enjoy the celebration truly taking in the spirit of the evening. Additionally, we want to share that we are looking forward to working together on new events coming to Atmore in the upcoming year.
The deadline for nominations for Citizen of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Business of the Year Award is Thursday, February 1st, 5 p.m. Nominations may be mailed to 137 North Main Street, Atmore, or emailed to director@atmorechamber.com. The winners will be announced at the gala.
The Citizen of the Year award is designed to recognize an individual’s outstanding achievements and /or contributions to the community.
The Lifetime Achievement Award, established by the Chamber in 1996, recognizes citizens whose contributions over a lifetime have helped to positively shape the community. This award is presented at the discretion of the selection committee and is not necessarily given annually.
