Donald Ray Helton 

Helton

Mr. Donald Ray Helton, age 79, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 in Pensacola, Fla. He was a native of Huxford, Ala., former resident of the Atmore, Ala. area and has resided in Cantonment, Fla. since 1965. He was an Elder in the Remnant Church of Latter-Day Saints. He was a 1962 graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, and a 7th grade Science Teacher at Ransom Middle School. His passions were Alabama football and fishing.

Mr. Helton is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Patsy Helton of Cantonment; a son. Michael (Eric O’Briant) Helton of Kennesaw, Ga.; one brother, Gary Helton (Lola Alverson) of Atmore; one sister, Glenda and Alan Rundall of Lillian, Ala.; niece, Sheron Rundall of Lillian  and aunt, Ruth Vickery of Atmore.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Evangelist Les Kelly and Evangelist Dick Dour officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family received friends Sunday, August 5, 2018 from noon until service time at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Lamar Wiggins, Rick Wiggins, Curtis Wiggins, Alan Odom, Rick Brooks and Glen Helton.

Mark Anthony Singleton

Mr. Mark Anthony Singleton, age 55, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018. He was born in Pensacola, Fla. He was employed at Champion/International Paper Company.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Groce and Vera Singleton and Jim and Josephine Flowers.

Mr. Singleton is survived by his parents, Gene (Betty) Singleton of Atmore, Ala. and Joyce (Jimmy) Mason of Walnut Hill; two sons, Brian Singleton of Milton, Fla. and Bradley Singleton of Bellevue, Neb.; two brothers, Autry Singleton of Mobile, Ala. and Darryl (LaDawn) Singleton of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Janet (Tim) McCraney of Headland, Ala. and Janine (Charlie) Walker of Molino, Fla.; two grandchildren, Chole Singleton and Teagan Singleton.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with his cousin, Elosie Stewart, officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 6 until 8 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Mary Lucille Cook Killingsworth

Mrs. Mary Lucille Cook Killingsworth, age 94, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday,
August 8, 2018 in Atmore. She was a sewing machine operator with Vanity Fair Mills before retirement. She born in McCullough, Ala. to the late George and Myrtie Mullins Cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.R. Killingsworth; a son, Lonnie Levins; a brother, Hollis Cook and a son-in-law, Ual Murph.
Mrs. Killingsworth is survived by a daughter, Ann Murph of McCullough; grandchildren,
Michael Murph of Bratt, Fla., David Murph of McCullough and a great-granddaughter, Amy Murph of Birmingham, Ala.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby
Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brett Chancery and Bro. Henry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in McCullough Cemetery.

Mack David Harrelson

Mr. Mack David Harrelson, age 69, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 at his residence in Canoe, Ala. He was a native of Brooks, Ala. and has resided in Canoe most of his life. He was of the holiness faith.

Mr. Harrelson is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Francis L. Harrelson of Canoe; two daughters, Rhonda (Jimmy) Boutwell of Canoe and Hannah (Stephen) Johnson of Atmore, Ala.; one brother, James Harrelson of Atmore; one sister, Ella McCarter of Georgiana, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Laura (Jerome) Quinn, Bake Flowers, Benjamin Boutwell, Cheyenne Johnson, Landon Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Paidin Dantzler and Jacklyn Harrelson; one great- grandchild, Daniel Quinn and special niece and nephew, Wendell and Roxanne Harrelson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Malcolm Harrelson officiating. Burial will follow at Traveler’s Rest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 10, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m.at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Joyce Renea Bryars Sprinkle

Mrs. Joyce Renea Bryars Sprinkle, age 50, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018  in Mobile, Ala. She was a native of Atmore, Ala. and has resided in Uriah, Ala. most of her life. She was a member of Little River Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, O.W. Bryars.

Mrs. Sprinkle is survived by her mother, Joyce Bryars of Uriah; husband, Terry J. Sprinkle of Uriah; two brothers, Frank (Angela) Bryars of Bay Minette, Ala. and Timmy (Jackie) Bryars of Walnut Hill, Fla.; one sister, Tammy Bryars of Uriah and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 13, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Little River Holiness Church with Rev. D.L. Harville and Bro. Tony McMillian officiating. Burial followed at Mineola Cemetery.

The family received friends Monday, August 13, 2018 from 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Little River Holiness Church.

Pallbearers were Randall Christiansen, Danny Jeter, Aaron Hadley, Heath Bryars, Austin Jennings and Dakota Bryars.

Honorary pallbearers were Joe Sprinkle, John Morris, Lester Peavy and Hank Paul.

Louis B. “Andy” Long

Mr. Louis B. “Andy” Long, age 61, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at his residence in Canoe, Ala. Mr. Long was a native of Atmore, Ala. and has resided in Canoe for most of his life. He was employed with Southern Towing with eighteen years of service. He was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Corinth Primitive Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Neal Long.

Mr. Long is survived by his mother, Ann Long of Canoe; two sons, Thomas (Ashley) Long of Walnut Hill, Fla. and Richard Long of Perdido, Ala.; two brothers, Scott Long of Canoe and Jerry (Christine) Long of Atmore; one sister, JoAnn Long of Century, Fla. and four grandchildren, Triston, Cameron, Alyssa and Aleigh.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Freeland officiating. Burial followed at Canoe Freewill Cemetery.

The family received friends Monday, August 13, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Mike House, Greg House, Chris House, Triston Long, Cameron Long and William Cottingham.

Honorary pallbearer was Billy Gates.

Alvin Leroy Bradley

Mr. Alvin Leroy Bradley, age 69, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at his residence. He was born to Henry and Gertrude Bradley. He was a native and longtime resident of Walnut Hill and a graduate of Ransom High School in Florida and Atmore Vocational Tech in Atmore. He was a retired maintenance planner from Georgia Pacific in Brewton with over twenty-six years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Conflict. He enjoyed farming, fishing, gardening, and helping others. He was instrumental in organizing the Walnut Hill Volunteer Fire Department where he served as Fire Chief for many years.

Mr. Bradley is survived by his wife, Yvonne Bradley of Walnut Hill; one daughter, Nicole (Gary) Pfister of Charlotte, N.C.; two sons, Rodney Bradley of Mobile, Ala. and Patrick Bradley of Cantonment, Fla.; three sisters, Willodean Knighten of Pensacola, Fla., Annette (Alfred) Williams of Walnut Hill and Bobbie Longmire of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, James (Debra) Bradley of Chicago and Glenn Bradley of Walnut Hill; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Gaines Chapel AME Church with Rev. Amos Smith, Pastor, officiating. Interment with full Military Honors will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 2 – 6 p.m. at the funeral home and his body will lie instate at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Joseph Wayne Levins    

Mr. Joseph Wayne Levins, age 76, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at his home in Lawrenceville, Ga. He was a native and former resident of Byrneville, Fla. and has resided in Lawrenceville for the past fifty-three years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict serving with the USAF. He was the former owner and operator of BrenJo, LLC-A&B Discount of Atlanta, Ga. for thirty years. He was a member of the Byrneville United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Hazel Levins; one brother, Wilbur Levins; first wife and mother of his children, Jackie Kelley Levins and a son, Joseph Mark Levins.
Mr. Levins is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years, Brenda Joyce Levins of Lawrenceville; two sons, Kelly Barnes and Stacey Thornton, both of Ga.; one daughter, Karen (Jeff) Killam of Byrneville; six grandchildren, Michael, Stevie, Nathan Brooke, Kelby and Joseph; two great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 17, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Byrneville Methodist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 17, 2018 from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
