The Greater Escambia Council for the Arts (GECA) is in rehearsal for their next production – Father of the Bride.
When you hear that title, don’t think Steve Martin movie. Rather, think about the old Father of the Bride movie. Remember Spencer Tracy, Joan Bennett, Elizabeth Taylor?
About the show: The father of a young woman deals with the emotional pain of her getting married, along with the financial and organizational trouble of arranging the wedding.
Show dates are Thursday through Saturday, August 2-4, 7 p.m., nightly, and Sunday August 5, 2 p.m. Tickets are sold at the box office the night of shows or in advance at Atmore News, 128 S. Main Street. Tickets are not yet available for this show. Atmore News will run a notice when tickets are available. Tickets are $10 for GECA non-members, $7 for members.
