Perdido E/M students enjoy educational day at Poarch

Equipment operators with Suncoast Infrastructure refill the trench dug to work on the main sewer line that runs beneath Short Street and serves Perch, Bream and Trout streets. The Mississippi-based company is nearing completion of the three-months-plus, half-million dollar sewer rehabilitation project, all but a small portion of which is being paid for with a Community Development Block Grant.

Historic marker dedication set in Century
The Alger-Sullivan Historical Society and the Town of Century announce a dedication ceremony for the unveiling of a state historic marker recognizing the Alger-Sullivan Lumber Company Residential Historic District in old Century. The event will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 21, Front Street and Jefferson Avenue. This is the first state marker placed in north Escambia County (Fla.) since the 1960s.
