Twelve students from Southern Pine Electric Co-op’s service territory recently participated in Montgomery Youth Tour. Students traveled to Montgomery March 6-8, and visited historical monuments including Dexter Avenue Baptist Church and the Civil Rights Memorial. Perdido E/M School wins big at regional tech fair
Students in Ms. Gerri McDonald’s Project Jubilee and Humanities classes at Perdido Elementary / Middle School recently won in multiple categories at the Annual Southeast / Southwest Regional Technology Fair held at Coastal Community College in Bay Minette. Double DUI – Both drivers charged after 2-vehicle crash
A violent two-vehicle crash that happened March 17 on Alabama 21 sent two teens to hospitals and both drivers to jail. The wreck occurred around 6:25 p.m. at the state highway’s 4.8-mile marker, just in front of Dixie Catfish Shack. Easter in the Park is set for this Saturday, March 24, Heritage Park. The day begins at 9:30 a.m. with the arrival of the Easter Bunny. Escambia Academy’s football players, coaches, cheerleaders, band and dance team members, and other support personnel received their 2017 AISA Class 2A state championship rings during a March 15 banquet held at Wind Creek.
