To the editor: In the Wednesday, November 22nd edition, I read Mr. Leon Chavers’ letter to the editor and I want to add a hardy YES and Amen to his comments. Why are these vital questions not being asked? I have one more question of my own. Where does Doug Jones stand on abortion and will he stand with our president? Remember, prayer is still effective. USPS releasing Alzheimer’s Semipostal stamp
The U.S. Postal Service is releasing a new stamp Thursday, November 30. The Alzheimer’s Semipostal stamp will be sold for 60 cents. The price includes the first-class single-piece postage rate in effect at the time of purchase plus an amount to fund Alzheimer’s research. Fountain named headmaster at EA; Heigle resigns

YMCA offering adult soccer, youth flag football
Atmore Area YMCA, along with Atmore Soccer Inc., has decided to take the Y’s successful youth soccer program to the next level. Registration for the new Adult Recreational Soccer program will continue until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 29. Games are set to begin on Saturday, January 20.
