Community Harvest Festival

A hayride is always popular. Driver Frank Williams, standing at back, took riders around the park.

Unity Baptist Church and First Baptist Church provided tons of family fun at the Community Harvest Festival Sunday, October 28, in Tom Byrne Park.
Games included corn hole, treasure dig, scavenger hunt, bean bag toss, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin putt putt, a sack race, and pumpkin patch fishing.

There was also face painting, a hayride, and a cake walk.

For refreshments, there was cotton candy, hot dogs and hot chocolate.

In the past, the two churches have held separate events – fall festival and/or trunk or treat – but decided to come together for one big event with assistance from Mayor Jim Staff and Atmore Police Chief Chuck Brooks.

Kole Stewart was an amazing life-sized toy soldier. He looked like a mannequin … then he moved!
Gladys Qualls, left, and Doris Jones helped man the fish pond.
