Perdido E/M School students compete in state tech fair

Students from Perdido Elementary / Middle School attended the Alabama State Technology Fair held at AUM campus the end of April. Those students who placed first or second in the regional fair were eligible to compete. Traveling to Montgomery were:

Fourth-graders Sidra Brown, Hope Bates, Emma Hadley, Brandon Smith, Payton Wasdin, Payge Gibson and Alex Cooper. They presented their projects in General Applications, Multi-media or hardware Robotics.

Eighth-graders Lindsey Stewart, Brooke Tyree, Taylor Tyree, Kaleb Byrd and Kloie Forbes. They competed in Multi-media, Video Production and General Applications.

All of the students had the option of competing as a group or individually.

Placing second in the state for their Multi-media project (Cupcakes for Cancer) were Brooke Tyree and Lindsey Stewart.

Also placing second in the state was Taylor Tyree, Kaleb Byrd, Lindsey Stewart and Brooke Tyree for their Video Production parody project entitled The Headache of Common Core Math.
