Perdido students participate in Special Olympics

Students from Perdido Elementary / Middle School recently participated in the Baldwin County Special Olympics. The countywide, annual competition was held at the Fairhope Municipal Stadium just before spring break.

Assisting were teachers Ms. Tara Beauchamp and Mrs. Jenna Lewellen, along with two members of Perdido’s Peer Helpers, Blakeley Norris and Emily Williams.
Athletes from Perdido School, the events they competed in and how they placed are as follows:

* Charlie Cheney – Tennis Ball Throw – 1st place

* Layton Perkins – Tennis Ball Throw – 1st place; 25 M Dash – 2nd place
