Montgomery recognized at ASU

Alabama State University (ASU) announced that a high-achieving academic student from Atmore was recognized during ASU’s 2017 Honors Convocation.

Bobby Aaron Montgomery, a senior majoring in Political Science / History at Alabama State University, graduated from Escambia County High School in 2004.

The Atmore native’s academic honors include membership in the National Society of Leadership and Success. Montgomery is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi.

His hometown church is Jones Street Holiness Church. He is the son of Angelia Montgomery of Atmore.

The ASU program recognizes regularly admitted undergraduate students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their academic pursuits. In general, students must have completed at least 15 semester hours of core courses at ASU with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better to qualify for recognition.
