Lights on after school
Escambia County Middle School will team up with the National Lights On After School Program Thursday, October 26 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. You’re invited to come out and discover a little about what Project A-STEM is doing to provide a safe, educational alternative to being home alone after school. This will be an interactive evening for students and their families to celebrate A-STEM.
Pioneer Day set in Grove Hill
To help celebrate the state’s bicentennial, the Clarke County Museum will host a bigger Pioneer Day with longer hours. The 18th annual event will be Saturday, Oct. 28, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the museum in Grove Hill. To the editor: The Canoe Civic Club is pleased to announce it will host Canoe Community Homecoming on November 18, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. This will be a family friendly, community event that will hopefully become an annual tradition.
