Escambia County High School students have the opportunity to win a prize IF they have perfect attendance. Each month, students who qualify have their names entered into a drawing with a prize to go to a male and female student. Special to Atmore News In celebration of Johnny Appleseed’s birthday, Perdido Elementary School pre-k, kindergarten, and first grade students read Johnny Appleseed books and other apple books, charted facts they learned about him, and completed fun activities. Each grade had an apple-taste testing experiment using red, yellow, and green apples and made graphs to show their favorites. Toyz for Kidz auction coming up
The LA Bikers Toyz for Kidz Auction is set for Thursday, Oct. 18, 6 p.m., PWC Building, 106 East Avenue, Atmore. There will be dozens of auction items available that evening. Barbecue sandwiches and hot dogs will be served. There will be a $1 raffle drawing for various items. Proceeds from the auction are used to buy Christmas gifts for area families.
