Rosalyn Slay
Ms. Rosalyn Slay, age 65, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 in Daphne, Ala. She was a native of Bay Minette, Ala. and has resided in Baldwin County, Ala. most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Charles and Ruth Slay, Jr.
Ms. Slay is survived by her brother, Charles Edward Slay of Daphne; sister, Martha C. Slay of Daphne; nephew, Mark (Karen) Moore of Daphne; two great-nephews, Reilly Moore and Colston Moore, both of Daphne and one great niece, Kaylee Owens of Chatham, Ala..
The family will receive friends Friday, October 12, 2018 from 10 a.m. until noon at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Brendon Juana`e Jackson
Mr. Brendon Juana`e Jackson, age 23, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018. He was born to Natalie Jackson and James Dennis Brendon in Brewton, Ala. He was a believer in Christ and walked his Christian journey with the right hand of fellowship with McCullough Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor Cornelius Phillips. Brendon was a proud 2013 graduate of Escambia County High School. In his leisure he ultimately enjoyed basketball “Golden State” and football “Auburn” and the pleasure of his peers, friends and most of all, his family.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Wilson and Geneva Williams; grandfather, Nathaniel Jackson; sister, Sayyidah Jenkins and great-grandparents, Mary and Richard Jackson.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his mother, Natalie (Darrell) Coates; brothers, Trae Thompson and Darion Jackson, Neiko Williams, Denard Stephens, Adaryl Eubanks, Darrell J. Coates, Marsell Stoudamire and T.J. McReynolds; sisters, Emerica Sinkfield, Piccola Hill, Keyyona McGough, Secoya “Toi” Jackson, Jaella Coates and Crystal Coates; grandmother, Margaret (Sam) Hudson of Atmore, Ala.; great-grandparents; step-grandparents, Dwight and Annie Bettis of Foley, Ala.; devoted aunts, Nicki Jackson, Paula Logan, Angela Russell, Pamela Thames, Jill Layton; a favorite uncle, Wilson “Tookie” Williams, III; devoted family and friends, Dan York, III and Robert Earl Thompson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. at McCullough Christian Center with Rev. Cornelius Phillips, Pastor and Apostle Tony McAroy, Presider. Interment followed at Pierce, Rabb and Montgomery Cemetery, Atmore.
Pallbearers were Brendon George, Todrick Dale, Imani Gray, Detrez Jones, Justin Smith, Addan Jackson and TyJustine Brown.
Flower bearers were the ECHS class of 2013.

Robert “Smiley” Coleman
Mr. Robert “Smiley” Coleman, age 71, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Atmore Nursing Care Center.
Funeral services are incomplete at this time but will be announced later by Turner Funeral Chapel LLC.
Larry Douglas Green
Mr. Larry Douglas Green, age 69, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 in Mobile, Ala.
He was a native of Chicago, Ill., former resident of Jay, Fla. and has resided in Century, Fla. for the past thirty-eight years. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerald and Beatrice Green; son, Bradford Johnson and brother, Jerry Green.
Mr. Green is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Patricia C. Green of Century; one son, Robert Douglas (Amber Spivey) Green of Century; two brothers, Gary J. Green and Greg (Lynn) Green, all of Century; two step-sisters; three grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Godwin Cemetery.

Margaret N. Nelson Welch
Mrs. Margaret N. Nelson Welch, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 in her home in Houston, Texas. It was truly a blessing for her to be able to visit with family and friends before her passing. She was born and raised in Gulf Shores, Ala. Even though her marriage would take her west, living along the Gulf Coast and finally settling in Texas, she always considered herself an Alabama girl.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Inez Nelson and brother Norris Nelson.
Mrs. Welch is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Wally Welch; her daughter, Allison Huffman and husband Tim; her son, Clifton Welch and friend, Michael Viguet; granddaughters; Rachel (Thomas) Haisten, Hannah Morris and Meghan (Charlie) Vardman; four great-grandsons; her sisters, Merle Salter, Marilyn (Doug) Lambert and her brother; “Wimp” (Bobbie) Nelson.
A memorial service was held at noon Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Shell Banks Baptist Church in Gulf Shores.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Shell Banks Cemetery or your favorite charity.
Lottie Porter
Mrs. Lottie Porter, age 58, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at her home in Dyas, Ala. She was a native of Bay Minette, Ala. and has resided in Dyas most of her life. She attended Fretwell Tabernacle Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson R. Porter; daughter, Jackie A. Porter; granddaughter, Kaibrenna; two sisters, Marie Garrett and Mattie Lawson and parents, Robert and Lottie Richardson.
Mrs. Porter is survived by one son, Jackson (Jodi Fields) Porter of Dyas; four sisters, Sally (Vernon) Reasons of Nokomis, Ala., Maggie (Randy) Hayles of Mauk, Ga., Gloria Jean (Richard) Hinton of Butler, Ga. and Dale (Eddie) Lambeth of Dyas and granddaughter, Brianna Hammond of Dyas.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 15, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Dean’s Holiness Church with Sis. Helen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at the Dean Cemetery
The family will receive friends Monday, October 15, 2018 from 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Dean’s Holiness Church.
