The Atmore Memorial VFW Auxiliary #7016 spent a couple of hours Saturday, February 11, at Heritage Park, collecting cards to send to the VFW National Home for Children to be used in various arts and crafts projects. Thirty-five (35) families, with 85 children ranging from newborn to 18 years old, currently reside at the National Home for Children in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. VFW Auxiliary holding patriotic art scholarship contest
VFW Auxiliary# 7016 of Atmore announces the kick-off of the VFW Auxiliary’s annual Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest. Local students in grades 9-12 have the opportunity to compete for $21,000 in national scholarships. Students must submit an original piece of artwork on paper or canvas.
