Bertha Mae Knott Knott Ms. Bertha Mae Knott, age 62, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Thomas Hospital, Fairhope, Ala. A native of Atmore, she was a 1976 graduate of Escambia County High School and a faithful member of New Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir, the mission board, and attended Sunday school. Special to Atmore News Atmore Memorial VFW Auxiliary Post #7016 announces the kick-off of the VFW Auxiliary’s annual Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest. Local students in grades 9-12 have the opportunity to compete for $29,500 in national scholarships. Students must submit an original two- or three-dimensional piece of artwork. Richey and Cassandra Tedder of McCullough announce the birth of their daughter, Londyn Lynn Tedder, born at 1:43 p.m., on October 6, at North Baldwin Infirmary in Bay Minette.
