Virtual learning funds
Escambia County Middle School Principal Takecia Barlow, center, accepts checks from Johnson Ford’s Ben Odom, at left, and Atmore Mayor Jim Staff on Friday, November 21. The Staff family contributed $600; the city’s two new-car dealers, Johnson Ford and Jason Pilger Chevrolet, donated $400 each. The money will be used to help pay for virtual reality goggles that will be used in classroom lessons.
