Swift-moving storm system causes minor damage – Roofs damaged on city, business buildings

Man arrested on child sex charges
An Atmore man remained in the Escambia County Jail this week after his February 2 arrest on several charges related to his alleged sexual misconduct with a child. Charges are pending against an Atmore man who allegedly used a baseball bat in an attack on a man who was with the suspect’s estranged wife.
