Sunday night crash

Alabama State Troopers continued Tuesday their investigation into a two-vehicle collision that occurred around 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, on Alabama 21, at its intersection with Woods Road. According to unofficial trooper reports, a 2016 Nissan Frontier driven by Ry Chim Ty, 63, of Pensacola was southbound on the state roadway when a northbound 2011 Chevrolet Aveo, shown above, driven by 75-year-old Velma Moore Dailey of Atmore failed to yield the right-of-way and turned into the Nissan’s path. Dailey and a passenger in the Nissan, 64-year-old Loeuth Ty, were taken by ambulance to Atmore Community Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
