Changes in city recycling program
The following information was released by the City of Atmore. The City of Atmore is carefully considering the future of the Atmore Recycling Program. We were told by Waste Pro that monthly fees will quadruple April 1, 2017. After carefully considering our options, the following procedure will go into effect on Friday, March 10, 2017. In concert Saturday

Arbor Day planting
More than 300 Rachel Patterson Elementary School students and the school’s faculty and staff joined five Atmore Garden Club members, Mayor Jim Staff and Escambia County Forester Thomas Davis on a windy Monday (March 6) for the Arbor Day planting of a Sugar Maple on the RPES campus.
