The Atmore Memorial VFW Auxiliary #7016 spent a couple of hours Saturday, February 11, at Heritage Park, collecting cards to send to the VFW National Home for Children to be used in various arts and crafts projects. Swift-moving storm system causes minor damage – Roofs damaged on city, business buildings
A storm system that moved swiftly into and across Atmore last Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 7) ripped down a large section of tree that took a power line with it when it crashed into a city-owned building, and neatly folded the roof of a local auto repair garage.
