A local civic club’s plan to construct a water-themed children’s park in Atmore has apparently made a big splash with local businesses, grant agencies and others. ‘Poppy Month’ proclamation issued – Council OKs resolutions for airport grant, new IDA members
Atmore City Council members approved two resolutions during their October 23 meeting — one in acceptance of the latest in an ongoing series of airport grants, the other to appoint three representatives to a joint industrial authority. Local woman says stalked by Nodine
An Atmore woman, who last week obtained an order of protection against abuse against former Mobile County Commissioner Steve Nodine, has also sworn out a criminal complaint against him, charging that he has stalked and harassed her in her hometown. Fatal crashes – Separate mishaps claim Uriah man, Atmore man, Fla. woman
Three people lost their lives and a fourth was seriously injured in separate single-vehicle crashes that occurred less than 16 hours apart as the week began.
