Mayor supports Guard, Reserve

Retirees honored
Sixteen employees with the Escambia County school system were honored with a reception Tuesday, May 16, at Flomaton High School. The 16 represented almost 400 years in the system. United Bank joins with the Atmore YMCA for a great cause as part of its Screen on the Green 2017 dinner and outdoor movie. The event will be held Friday, June 2, at Heritage Park, featuring Moana. Turtle Point Science Center in Flomaton is raising funds to renovate the boardwalk, one of the most popular parts of the center. According to Director Jackie Word, donations may be made through Redbasket.org, a nonprofit crowdfunding website made available through WoodmenLife. Atmore Lions Club is sponsoring two high school students to attend Troy University June 16-18 for the Alabama High School Leadership Forum.
