UB names photo winners
Two Atmore residents placed in United Bank’s Farm and Landscape Photo Competition. Almost 900 photos were received to be judged. Thursday July 27, an awards banquet was held at Steelwood Country Club in Loxley to honor the finalists. The winners are Grand Prize – Corey McDonald, Monroeville 1st Place – Ditto Gorme, Atmore 2nd Place – Ameria and Ken Ward, Megargel 3rd Place – Lisa Gregory, Elberta President’s Choice Award…
Yard of the Month
The Pride of Atmore Committee selected the yard of Chris and Courtney Harrison, 408 S. Main Street, as the August Yard of the Month. The presentation was made Monday, July 31. Legion Auxiliary officers installed
On Monday, July 10, 2017 the officers for the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 90 Atmore were installed for the year 2017-2018. Karrick attends regional conference
Nancy Karrick attended the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International Southeastern Regional Conference in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, from July 16 to July 23. She attended workshops on Promoting Excellence in Education Worldwide, Storybook Leadership, How to Preserve Memories, Chapter and State Revitalization, Impacting Literacy, and Delta Kappa Gamma –Then and Now.
