BOE votes to consolidate – ACM students going to RPES and ECMS (UPDATED 7-3-17)
After months of consideration, the Escambia County Board of Education voted in a called meeting Thursday, June 29, to consolidate A.C. Moore Elementary with Rachel Patterson Elementary School and Escambia County Middle School. After much discussion at the table Thursday, Chairman Willie J. Grissett called for a roll call vote. The Greater Escambia Council for the Arts began work in May on the big summer show coming up the last of July and the first of August. “Annie” is a huge show with 98 roles. These Atmore firefighters visited the Atmore Public Library Summer Reading Program Friday, June 23. Topics they went over with the kids included Stop, Drop, Cover (your fact), and Roll, and having a meeting place outside with family members in case of a fire.
