Mitzi Fitzpatrick was inducted into the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA) Hall of Fame in a ceremony held Monday evening, October 23. Ms. Fitzpatrick was honored for her years of service at Escambia Academy, serving as school secretary, registrar and office manager. The Walk continues
Women of Distinction held their annual cancer awareness walk – A Walk to the Park – Saturday, October 14. Opening ceremonies were at Atmore City Hall. The walk ended at Houston Avery Park. Proceeds are used to provide gas cards to assist local cancer patients with travel expenses for treatment. Shown is this year’s group of walkers.  
Ribs on Ridgeley
Put together some long tables down the middle of a street, serve some ribs by South Alabama Vending and homemade pies by Myrna Monroe and you’ve got the recipe for a fund-raising success.
