Williams reaches milestone

American Legion Post 90 and VFW Post 7016 hosted candidate Katie Britt at the Legion hall Thursday, December 9. Britt is running for the Senate seat being vacated by US Senator Richard Shelby who is retiring. Gorme receives degree
Gorme Paolo Gorme of Atmore received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of South Alabama during commencement exercises Saturday, December 11.Paolo graduated cum laude with a degree in Exercise Science with a Concentration in Health and Fitness.His stole is patterned after the flag of the Philippines, his homeland.Paolo is the son of Ditto and Kharina Gorme of Atmore.
Farewell and thanks
After 20 years, PeeWee Powell and family are ending the annual LA Bikers Toyz for Kidz drive in Atmore. The family hosted an appreciation dinner at David’s Catfish Wednesday, December 8, for folks who helped with Toyz through the years.
