Back to School Boost
Dozens of volunteers helped with the annual Back to School Boost held Saturday, July 22, at Escambia County Middle School. And dozens upon dozens of families lined up to get school supplies, uniforms, and food. The drive through event, headed by Grace Fellowship Church, also provided information and, where allowed, prayer for students and the upcoming school year.

When Escambia County High School (ECHS) Head Coach and Athletic Director Vincent Harris went looking for a way to replace the poor-quality jerseys his players wore last year, he quickly found one in Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council. The organization awarded one of its largest grants — $15,000 — to ECHS to help pay for a new set of blue jerseys and a new set of white jerseys.…
