Taste of the South is Thursday

Special to Atmore News The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce’s Taste of the South will officially kick off at 5 p.m. this Thursday, September 15, at Heritage Park. Each person who attends will get to sample one of every dish, so be sure to come ready for good food. The Pepsi wagon will also be on site. EA Homecoming Court

Escambia Academy’s homecoming will be Friday, September 30, when the Cougars take on Hooper Academy. Members of the homecoming court are, from left, Abby-Kate Helton, Tiffany Gookin, Ana Chesley Robinson, Kadence Kolbe, Rihanna Crook, Tava Johnson. The homecoming queen and court will be presented at halftime.

Ribbon cutting

The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Flynn Built homes Friday, September 9. Chamber board members and Ambassadors, friends and family joined the owners and employees for the occasion.

Volunteering at Blue Lake

Volunteers from Atmore First United Methodist Church recently volunteered at Blue Lake Methodist Camp near Andalusia. In fact, this was not their first trip to the Camp – they’ve been multiple times this summer to help with mowing.
