Members of Atmore Memorial VFW Auxiliary traveled across the city and out to Poarch Monday, September 11, to present local first responders and veterans with baskets of snacks. The group made nine stops on their Patriots Day travels, including Atmore and Poarch police headquarters, all Atmore and Poarch fire stations, Atmore Community Hospital’s ER and nurses’ station, Southern Care Hospice, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office satellite office, Lavan Martin Assisted Living Center at Poarch, and MedStar EMS.
