Note: The following announcement was submitted by the candidate.
My name is Andreas Grant, and I’m proud to announce my candidacy for City Council representing District 2 here in Atmore.
Though my career took me away for a time, Atmore has always been home. I’m a proud graduate of Escambia County High School; and I still carry the lessons I learned here, especially those taught by Mrs. Helton, a recently retired ECHS teacher who first encouraged me to pursue a career in healthcare.
Since 2023, I’ve worked as a Pharmacy Data Programmer and Senior 340B Program Analyst for Temple University Health System in Philadelphia. I manage all pharmacy-related data for our Electronic Medical Records system (Epic) and oversee our Home Infusion and Specialty Pharmacy contract pharmacy relationships. This fiscal year alone, I’ve helped generate over $1 million in new revenue for the health system.
In both healthcare and public service, the stakes are high; and success depends on listening, planning, and following through. My professional background has prepared me to do just that. I bring experience in managing complex systems, solving problems with data, and making sure programs work efficiently and fairly. These are the same principles I’ll apply to serving our district.
If elected, I’ll focus on two key priorities: expanding access to quality, affordable housing and advocating for responsible, community-centered healthcare. Every resident deserves a safe place to live and a city government that truly works for them.
My campaign is rooted in the belief that Atmore is ready for a fresh approach; New Energy. Real Results. I’m not running to make promises; I’m running to make progress.
