To say Pride of Atmore Myrna’s Salad Luncheon was a huge success is quite the understatement. While we don’t have an official count, Pride members estimated more than 400 people (as many as 450) came for lunch at the newly renovated Encore Monday, July 24. At the beginning of the event, Myrna Monroe was greeted with a standing ovation and applause as she entered the room. Pride member Bub Gideons introduced her as the founder of the luncheon and talked about her contributions to Pride of Atmore and to the community.
