The swimming pool at Houston Avery Park is now open five days a week for swimming lessons and public swimming.
City of Atmore officials announced the pool’s staff is conducting swimming lessons from 10 a.m. until noon, Monday through Friday, and 5:30-7:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The public can enjoy the pool from 2 to 5 p.m. each day, Monday through Thursday, and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Friday. There will also be an evening public swim session from 7 to 9 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday.
No public swimming is allowed on Saturdays.
