Mayor Jim Staff signed a proclamation Monday, January 14, designating January as National Mentoring Month in Atmore, joining the rest of the nation in the observance. The purpose is to encourage citizens to recognize the importance of mentoring and to look for opportunities to serve as mentors in their communities.
