Five members of the Atmore Fire Department kicked off the summer reading program at Atmore Public Library Friday, June 6. Almost 90 children came to listen to firefighters talk about fire safety. They got to meet the firemen, see the firetruck, and, of course, meet Sparky. Firefighters opened the truck, above, to let kids and parents get an up close look. Zack Stewart, Glenn Kelley, Chris Hughes, Sparky (Isaiah Hetrick), and Zach Johnson are the firefighters who presented the program.
