Edward Levon Little 

Mr. Edward Levon Little, age 90 passed away Monday, June 2, 2025. He was born in Byrneville, Fla. and remained a lifelong resident of his beloved hometown. He retired from Monsanto after many years of service and spent his life tending to his farm and cattle. He loved the Lord with all of his heart and faithfully attended Beulah Chapel Assembly of God. He often reminded those around him with his personal motto: “Be Ready.” It was more than just words—it was how he lived, preparing his heart and soul every day to meet his Savior.
He had a passion for baseball and loved attending ballgames. He treasured sharing stories, wisdom, and quiet moments with each of his children and grandchildren. He was a loving and dedicated father who raised two sets of children with strength, compassion, and unwavering faith. His home was one of kindness, hard work, and love—a true reflection of the values he held dear.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orbie Little; mother, Lucy Little; wife, Earlie Mae Little; brother-in-law, Richard Renfroe; and great-grandson, Max Little.
Mr. Little is survived by his daughter, Renea (Paul) Wilson; son, Larry (Patricia) Little; sister, Annie Renfroe; grandchildren, Shannon (Branden) Moore, Sean (Hilary) Little, Paul (Mandi) Wilson, Ami (Junior) Fontana, Jason (Glenda) Wilson; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Sawyer, Kipton, Bennett, Eliana, Monroe, Micah, Emma, Madison, Enzo, Allison, Genevieve, Sebastian, Cecelia; former daughter-in-law, Juanita (Phillip) Kast; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 at 3 p.m. at Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church with Reverend Tim Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 6, 2025 from 2 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. at Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church.

Essie Lee Wilkins

Mrs. Essie Lee Wilkins, age 86, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, in Pensacola, Fla. Originally from Poarch, Ala. she spent most of her life in Pensacola. She was a proud member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.
She was a joyful person who loved playing bingo. She also enjoyed cooking, teaching her granddaughters how to make the family favorite, Lemon Pound Cake. Her passion for animals helped find homes for numerous dogs throughout her life. She had a thrill for driving fast and a passion for dancing. Traveling was another joy, especially to Fredericksburg, Va., to see her grandkids to whom she was known as NaNa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Wilkins; her parents, Adam Daughtry and Susieanna McGhee; numerous brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Wilkins is survived by her son, Kenneth Wilkins of Pensacola, Fla.; daughter, Inga (Doug) Wilcox of Pensacola; brother, Charles (Danna) Daughtry of Atmore, Ala.; sister, Emma Jane Owens of Land O Lakes, Fla.; four grandchildren, Kyle Wilkins, Justin Wilcox, Macy Wilcox and Paige Wilcox and her two small dogs.
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Friendly Holiness Church with Brother Ray Ward officiating. Burial will follow at New Home Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 6, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. at Friendly Holiness Church.

Dorothy Louise Hubbard

Mrs. Dorothy Louise Hubbard, age 81, of Phillipsville, Ala. passed away Thursday June 5, 2025 in Bay Minette, Ala.  She was born to Edgar and Ruby Crawford McKinley in Repton, Ala.  She was a member of Perdido Baptist Church. She was the Housing Authority Executive Director with the City of Atmore.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Ray Hubbard; her siblings, Gerald McKinley, Edgar McKinley, Jr., J.W. McKinley, Lawrence McKinley, and Harvey McKinley.

Mrs. Hubbard is survived by her sons, Jason Hubbard, Eugene Hubbard, and Andrew Hubbard, all of Phillipsville; her grandchildren, Pamela Garrett, Heather Hubbard, Brittany Hubbard, Andrew Hubbard, Jr., and Tyler Hubbard; twelve great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 9, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Sanks officiating. Interment will follow in Perdido Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jason Hubbard, Marcus Stewart, Wyatt Crocker, Michael Stewart, Andrew Hubbard, Jr., and Tyler Hubbard.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 9, 2025, from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore, Ala.

Louise S. Bryan

Mrs. Louise S. Bryan, age 95, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Atmore Community Hospital. She was born in Salem, Fla. and was a devoted military wife of 73 years to LTC Charles D. Bryan.  She was a lifelong member of the Walnut Hill Baptist Church where she loved tending the church nursery. She was like a glass of sweet tea, every time you were around her, you always felt a little bit better, a little bit of a pick me up when you were tired. She was truly a fine lady that could rock her pearls, had a great sense of humor, and was a good sport

She was preceded in death by her husband, LTC Charles D. Bryan; her brother, Don Strickland; her sister, Mary Lou Faircloth Wiggins and Marilyn Strickland Ward.

Mrs. Bryan is survived by two sons, retired LTC Gary D. Bryan (Connie) of Pensacola, Fla. and Chuck Bryan (Bonnie) of Fairhope, Ala.; four grandchildren: Charles L. Bryan Jr (Julie), Fairhope, Layne Bryan Abee (Aaron), Bastrop, Texas; COL Marcus W. Bryan (Tracie), Pensacola, Fla. and Sara M. Bryan, Las Vegas, Nev.; seven great-grandchildren: SSgt Christopher Bryan of Panama City, Fla., Hayley Bryan Mondeau (Christian) of Honolulu, Hawaii and Alyssa Bryan of Pensacola, Jackson and Thompson Bryan of Fairhope and Conrad and Bella Abee of Bastrop; one sister, Sharee Godwin of Spanish Fort, Ala. where she is cared for by her daughter, Lynn Mills (Greg).

The family received friends Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Walnut Hill Baptist Church with family viewing between 1 and 1:30 p.m. with general public between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at the Walnut Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Walnut Hill Baptist Cemetery.

Mary Sessions Caraway

Mrs. Mary Sessions Caraway, age 88, of Walnut Hill, Fla. passed away at West Florida Hospital Wednesday, June 6, 2025 in Pensacola, Fla. She was born in Jay, Fla. to Clarence Sessions and Ode Watson Sessions. She was a member of Hall’s Fork Assembly of God. She loved God and deeply loved and cherished her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth K. Caraway; her son, Kenny W. Caraway; her sisters, Joyce Hicks, Audrey Hicks and her brother, Jim Sessions.

Mrs. Caraway is survived by her daughter, Pamela Jay; her siblings, Dallas Sessions, Janice Lawrence, Jackie Groce, Shirley Highsmith, Derlie Schneider, Sara Yuknis; her grandchildren, Ashley Jay, Chason Jay, Shandala Boutwell, Tabatha Boutwell and Michael Tolor; eleven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral home with Rev. Windell Hadley officiating.  Interment followed at Pine Barren Baptist Church Cemetery in Davisville, Fla.

The family receive friends Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 1:30 p.m. until service time at 2:30 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Mr. Joshua Sinclair Peoples, age 32, of Atmore Ala. passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Baldwin Health in Foley, Ala.

Paul Zane Lundy

Mr. Paul Zane Lundy, age 78,  passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Pensacola, Fla. He was originally from Semirah Springs, Alabama, but spent most of his life in Atmore, Alabama. Mr. Lundy was a member of the Semirah Springs Freewill Baptist Church and took great pride in being a part of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. His life touched many, and he will be remembered fondly by his family and friends.

He loved to play music, especially picking up his guitar and writing songs. Recording his music brought him joy, as did spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandbabies. He found happiness in riding horses, fishing, and going out on the boat. Always ready to help, he was the kind of person who would give to anyone in need. His passions and kindness painted a beautiful picture of a life filled with love and adventure.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gaylord and Juanita Dees Lundy; son, Randall Reese Lundy; brother, Willie Gay Lundy; sister, Pug Hollinger.

Mr. Lundy is survived by his wife of eight years, Carolyn Lundy of Bay Minette, Alabama; sons, Dakota Lundy of Pensacola, Florida and Sean Lundy of Atmore, Alabama; daughters, Madison Lundy of Atmore, Alabama and Whitney Davis of Frisco City, Alabama; brothers, George and wife Libby Lundy of Semirah Springs, Alabama and Randall Lundy of Panama City, Florida; grandchildren, Chloe Lundy, Zayn Davis, Colby Johnson, Steven Combs, Cheyenne and husband Allen Weston, Brooklynn Lundy, Santanna Lundy, Bailey and husband Nolan Echols; great-grandchildren, Micah Combs, Hunter Allen, River Allen, Nicholas Lundy, Duke Echols, and Kimber Echols; numerous great-great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Semirah Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Brother Clifton Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow at Semirah Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 13, 2025 at Semirah Springs Freewill Baptist Church from 11 a.m. until service time at 12 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Crook, Darrell Hollinger, Holley Lundy, Colby Johnson, Jimmy Myrick and Tyson Presley.
