Bryan named Girl Scouts Leading Lady

Special to Atmore News

Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama (GSSA) held its eighth annual Leading Ladies Awards Brunch Tuesday, June 18, recognizing outstanding women who are making an impact in their community, as well as organizations that are advancing women in the workforce. Associate Justice Sarah H. Stewart of the Alabama Supreme Court gave the keynote address, referencing the Girl Scout Law to highlight the values that are central to the Girl Scout Mission.
Stephanie Bryan was named the Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama 2024 Leading Lady. In 2014, Chair Bryan became the first woman elected to serve as the Tribal Chair and CEO of the Poarch Creek Indians. She is deeply committed to providing quality healthcare, education, and employment opportunities to Poarch Tribal members, as well as citizens of the larger Atmore community.
In her remarks, Chair Bryan generously issued a donation matching challenge in support of GSSA.
