Escambia Academy’s senior baseball players — from left, Luke Bell, Quinton Odom, Charlie Sasser and Carson Wilson — were recognized Friday, April 19, before the Cougars swept a doubleheader from Meadowview Christian and advanced to the second round of the AISA playoffs, where they swept two games from Heritage Christian, in Bessemer. The Cougars advanced to the third round and are scheduled to play a doubleheader at Lowndes Academy on Wednesday, May 1, starting at 4 p.m. A third game, if needed, will be played at 2.p.m. Thursday, also at Lowndes.
