Megan Wilson of Atmore was nominated as the Student Employee of the Year by The University of Alabama’s Department of Human Resources, which has been honoring the efforts of outstanding student employees for more than 15 years.
HR invites supervisors to nominate students in early spring each year to highlight students who perform invaluable services with enthusiasm and dedication, all while balancing their respective academic commitments.
This year eligible students were undergraduate student assistant employees and work-study student employees working in hourly, on-campus positions. Students must have worked a minimum of six months part-time or three months full-time.
The selection period was for work performed from June 1, 2023, through May 31, 2024 (anticipated).
Wilson was not chosen as the Student Employee but she joined an elite group of students nominated for the honor. Only 32 in the university were considered.
