The Atmore Memorial VFW Auxiliary encourages everyone to Paint Atmore Yellow with yellow bows and ribbons (available at local florists) to commemorate Vietnam Veterans Day March 30. The Auxiliary is not holding a ceremony this year, but encourages the public to show their appreciation to the men and women who served in Vietnam. Saturday, March 23, Auxiliary member Jenny Hutto, left, and Auxiliary President Jackey Odom placed bows at Heritage Park. They also placed bows at Atmore City Hall, the Veterans Memorial and the train depot.
