The world is less safe under Joe Biden’s leadership

Congressman Jerry Carl

With chaos around the world and constant threats here at home, the President’s number one priority should be supporting our national defense and being a leader on the global stage.
Our enemies are becoming bolder and more capable, and the United States absolutely must continue maintaining a dominant military posture to protect against any threats.
Just in the last two years, we’ve seen Afghanistan fall to the Taliban, Ukraine be invaded by Russia, Israel come under attack by Hamas, and our own soldiers’ lives being taken abroad. Meanwhile, China’s aggression continues in the Western Pacific.
The world is getting more dangerous and less secure, and President Biden needs to step up and do the job he swore under oath he would do.
Not to mention, our Southern Border is wide open and there is no telling who is coming into our country undocumented. Just last August we had an MS-13 gang member in Chelsea, Alabama who entered the country through our border. I’ve said it before, and I will keep shouting it from the rooftop: border security is national security. Biden’s border crisis has made every single state a border state.
In December alone, 302,034 illegal immigrants crossed our Southern Border, and there has been around 8.3 million total crossings since Joe Biden took office. Folks, that’s nearly double the population of the entire state of Alabama. Yet, Senate Democrats and President Biden refuse to sign H.R. 2, the strongest border bill Congress has ever passed, into law.
None of this would have happened under President Trump’s leadership, and we need to get him back in the White House in 2024 to ensure the safety and security of all Americans.
The job of the President is simple – protect the people of the United States by securing our borders and protecting our interests abroad.
As I’ve stated before, the American people deserve leadership from President Biden, but so far, we have seen none. The President must take action to protect our borders and show strength and leadership on the global stage before it’s too late.
