The recently renovated historic century-old Strand Theatre will present its first “first run” film since the completion of the almost 10-year project. The movie, “I CAN” was requested as early as this summer by two different softball teams in Poarch. Multiple phone calls and several months later, the Strand Theatre, listed on the U. S. Department of Interior’s Historical Registry, is one of only 100 theaters in the United States premiering “I Can.”
A perfect fit for youth groups, baseball and softball teams, senior groups, churches and the general public, the cost is only $8 per person. The movie is being formally released on Friday, September 22. We can start showing as a premier as early as this Wednesday, September 20, if there is a large group interested. Any groups who are interested and cannot come at the listed showtimes, we very possibly may can customize the time and date for the group.
Currently, we are showing it on the following dates and times:
Friday, September 22, at 6 p.m.
Sunday, September 24, at 2 p.m.
Monday, September 25, at 11 a.m., for a women’s group and others who are interested
Wednesday, September 27, at 6 p.m.
