A long-standing reunion in Atmore is the annual Escambia County Training School Golden Eagles Alumni Gathering held in the fall. Although the event was not held in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid, it was well-attended in 2022, and alumni are encouraged to attend and fellowship one with another again.
This year, the Gathering is set for Friday, September 29, at David’s Catfish.
Following is the schedule:
Meet and greet – 9 a.m.
Group pictures – 9:15 a.m.
Program – 9:45 a.m.
Chairperson / coordinator for the event is Paulette January-German.
The founder and organizer of the Gathering is Barbara Poole Harris.
The Gathering is hosted each year by the ECTS Class of 1967.
