Bobbie Ann (Buxton) Brumfield

Brumsfield

Mrs. Bobbie Ann (Buxton) Brumfield, age 84, of Greenville, S. C. passed away  Monday, August 21, 2023 at her home. She was born and raised in Atmore, Ala. but in order to be near her family, she spent the last twenty years of her life in Asheville, N.C., then a short while in Greenville. She was an amazing bookkeeper and to the last month of her life required her checkbook to balance to the penny. Flowers, especially any tropical plant, gave her great delight so her yard and home were full of them.  And as all the family knows, she loved weather and glued herself to the weather channel on TV. She would then alert the family member in the path of anything inclement—we knew to expect this and will miss her notifications. And her beloved and greatly anticipated sour cream pound cakes—we’ll miss those too.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Guy (Snake) Brumfield and her mother, Bertha Buxton.

Mrs. Brumfield is survived by four children, Cheryl (Bob) Ramskill, Guy (Nedra) Brumfield, Nancy (Joe) Freitas and Kelly (Jill) Brumfield;  nine grandchildren;  ten great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy Buxton Brown of Atmore.

Her burial will be next spring, her favorite season, in a place surrounded by the beauty of nature.
