Operation Christmas Child donation still accepted online

Special to Atmore News

Atmore residents who weren’t able to fill a shoebox for the recent Operation Christmas Child campaign before the local collection center closed, can still help send the message of God’s love to children around the world.
While Atmore-area volunteers celebrate the success of this year’s local project, the organization announced that there is still time to share hope and love with children overseas by packing a gift-filled shoebox online. The shoeboxes contain toys, school supplies and hygiene items bound for children of some of the world’s poorest countries and hardest-to-reach areas.
Those who prefer the convenience of online shopping can browse samaritanspurse.org/buildonline to select gifts matched to a child’s specific age and gender, then finish packing the virtual shoebox by adding a photo and personal note of encouragement.
