ECMS / ECHS present Christmas concert

From beginner to accomplished, Escambia County Middle School and Escambia County High School band students presented their Christmas concert Thursday evening, December 8, in the ECHS Hodnette Auditorium.
Students performed under the direction of ECHS band director Hayley Canterbury and ECMS band director Michael Williams.
The ECHS Jazz Band kicked off the program with “Round Midnight” and “Big Noise from the North Pole.”
The ECMS Beginning Band performed three pieces – “Jingle Bells,” “Jolly Old St. Nicholas” and “Up On the Housetop.” These students have been playing for about three months.
The ECMS Advanced Band played four pieces – “Glorioso,” “In the Bleak Midwinter,” “Fanfare for the Faithful” and “Candy Cane Clarinets.”
The ECHS Symphonic Band concluded the program with four numbers – “Hip Hop All the Way,” “Happy Xmas,” “Salvation is Created” and “Up on the Housetop Down in New Orleans.”
